Daniel Lester
Jamison – Daniel Lester, of Jamison, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 73 and the husband of Jane S. Lester.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Joel and Evelyn Sternberg Lester.
Danny graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Economics, class of 1969. The bulk of his career was spent working for SMS/Siemens as a senior financial consultant.
He was a life long horse enthusiast, especially thoroughbreds. Danny had visited all major horse racing tracks in the US and particularly enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby.
In addition to the races, Danny enjoyed traveling, especially to the Caribbean and Hawaii. “Anywhere warm was a great place to visit.”
He enjoyed his many friends but his greatest joy was his daughter and grandsons.
In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by his daughter: Lauren Greenway, her husband, Dennis, II; his grandsons: Dennis Greenway, III and Benjamin Greenway, as well as his sister: Alison L. Ginn.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring for everyone to celebrate his life. Details to follow.
Memorial contributions in Danny’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or paying kindness forward.
