Uncategorized Gebeya to connect clients with tech service firms – AIM Group
by Jan 24, 2022 | Recruitment
Ethiopia-based Gebeya helps match tech freelancers in Africa with companies seeking their skills. It has now launched a program to connect its clients with not only individuals but also skilled organizations across the continent, said a news release from Gebeya.
“Like our pool of freelance talents, all network partners must undergo robust vetting to ensure they represent the best of African talent. After a successful beta test, we will now invite specialty professional services firms across Africa to apply — especially software development and design agencies,” said Amadou Daffe, CEO and co-founder of Gebeya.
The network partners program is focused on recruiting African companies specializing in software development, marketing, gaming, design and cyber security.
The vetting process involves skill testing, as partner companies will be required to provide 3–5 customer references to validate their ability to deliver on what is required of them. They must also provide a company profile that includes details of their team profile, geographic reach, language capacity and other details.
The network of partners currently in the program includes agencies in Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Senegal.
Founded in 2016, Gebeya Inc. is a pan-African freelance tech talent marketplace based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with remote teams in Kenya, Senegal, North America and the UK. In 2020, it secured a $2 million seed round investment co-led by Partech and Orange Digital Ventures and followed by Consonance Investment Managers.
